Helping Out at Jungle Tide
We believe strongly in the exchange economy as part of the world’s future.
Based on trust we have:
Done house exchanges (cheap holidays in different countries)
Lent and borrowed money, at agreed rates (cutting out the banks)
Offered lower rates to people who book direct with us (saving them
money and saving us paying scandalous commission to global
corporations.)
We also use the exchange concept to offer people on low budgets the chance
to enjoy Jungle Tide for free in return for doing some work for us.
The work
The work is usually manual, and in the gardens – keeping the “jungle tide” at bay! – but can also involve painting and decorating and making things.
People with carpentry or building skills are especially welcome!
The basic deal is you work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week and all your food and accommodation (in an en-suite shared room for 4) is provided free. The rest of your time is your own and you can enjoy relaxing by our lovely pool, walking, reading, visiting the city or doing whatever you please…

Do NOT use the room booking function! Note – we can only accommodate helpers when we are at Jungle Tide – usually between January and March each year.
